SHORE is a positive accelerated strategy program providing students the opportunity to reclaim course credit for work they are missing or have failed. Students are given the opportunity to redo coursework or retake an entire course through alternate means, while working with highly trained staff, to earn academic credit and ensure graduation requirements are met.

See SHHS, Mr. Godfrey or Mr. Twigg for more details.

- Teacher SHORE Signup Agreement PDF

Teachers - SHORE - Steps to Success:
  1. Identify the student(s) in need of SHORE.
  2. Print out the SHORE Signup Agreement.
  3. Get a copy of the class offerings for your subject area from Mr. Godfrey (PLATO).
  4. Sit down with the student and go over exactly what they need to work on.
  5. Turn the "Complete" SHORE Agreement into a SHORE Representative along with the PLATO print out, test(s), work, etc:
    • The SHORE Representative will add the student to PLATO and add the course(s) you have chosen.
    • The SHORE Representative has a folder for each teacher and will take care of filing PLATO Results / Exam Make-ups for your grading purposes.

Before School

Starting tomorrow morning, and continuing the rest of the year, the computer lab, next to Dr. Potts' office, will be open at 7 AM in A111 for ALL students to use the computers for reports, projects, Tenmarks, MyOn, etc. This is part of an Extended Learning contract so if students need to take tests, do make up work, etc please put the work in my mailbox with instructions attached and your name on it. I will administer and return work to you.
